Julie is our patient care coordinator and has more than 20 years of experience in dentistry. She assists patients with all of their insurance and financial needs. Prior to joining us, Julie worked at the San Mateo County Dental Society as a dental health educator. There she drove the famous "brush mobile" and taught Bay Area children how to brush their teeth.
She has lived in the Bay Area for 43 years, making her a "true local" who can relate to almost any patient. She is a very focused and hard working woman of quick wit and positive attitude. She is an asset to our practice and delightful to work with.
In her spare time, Julie is an avid horse racing fan who loves movies and gardening.
Kelly is our scheduling coordinator. You will hear her friendly voice when you make your first appointment with our office. She has a great sense of humor that our patients as well as our team enjoy. Prior to joining us in dentistry she spent many years working in the veterinary field and now is happy to have made the switch to the dental field.
Outside of work, Kelly is a wonderful cook and a dedicated daughter and mother. She also frequents the beach where she visits her father. She has a love for animals and shares her home with her dog Storm and her cats Robby and Petals. Reading is a special hobby, one that she particularly enjoys on rainy days.
Oriana is a Bay Area native who has been in dentistry for 19 years and has been Dr. Herrera's dental assistant for 16 years. She is a skilled, committed, caring, and friendly team member whose smile puts patients at ease.
She is a distinguished athlete with a love for baseball and gymnastics. She is a devoted daughter, wife, and mother and is enjoying her beautiful and energetic daughter.
Laurie has been in dentistry for 32 years and has been Dr. Herrera's dental assistant for eleven of those. Her friendly and authentic personality is enjoyed by our patients and by all of us. As a Redwood City native she seems to know many of our patients.
Family is her passion and she loves spending time with them. She and her husband of 32 years are proud to have raised a wonderful daughter who is currently in college on the East Coast.
Laurie is an accomplished runner and enjoys running marathons. She also recently hiked half dome - something she didn't imagine doing over the age of 45!
Lolly is originally from Durban, South Africa and has been in the US for 20+ years. She is outgoing, friendly, and lively. She graduated from Chabot Dental Hygiene Program in Hayward and has been very active in the dental hygiene profession. She currently is president of the East Bay Component of the Dental Hygiene Society, Liaison for Chabot College dental hygiene students, and serves as a delegate at the state level. Our patients are very pleased with how she encourages and motivates them in their treatment. She is patient, caring, thorough, and loves being a hygienist. Her interests include continuing education classes to improve her knowledge, skills, and understanding of the latest techniques, methods, and instruments available in dentistry.
In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, playing word games, hiking, cooking, and most importantly, spending time with her friends, family, and her beautiful teenage daughter.
Karen graduated from Diablo Valley College in Dental Hygiene. She attended Sierra College where she earned her Bachelors in Religion and studied ancient theology at Great Western University. She also graduated from Rose Brige with a Masters in Psychology. She has been practicing as a dental hygienist for 24 years.
She loves the mountains, the ocean, and the earth. While enjoying these she loves to explore the indigenous beliefs of the people in different places she travels to. Yet she has found the most rewarding adventure to be the exploration within. Her hobbies include yoga, meditation, hiking, and she has made it a life long habit to continue learning. She deeply loves and enjoys all of her family who fortunately live here in the Bay Area.
